Plan de table

An app to plan an event’s seating (wedding, birthday, gala, seminar) and keep it alive until the big day: tables, guests, groups, guest replies, menu, schedule, and a 3D view of the venue.

The demo seating plan: eleven tables, seated guests, free seats and a flagged keep-apart link (French interface)

A shared spreadsheet, and its limits

It all started with a wedding planned in a spreadsheet: names in free text, no warning when a table overflowed, no record of who changed what. Several people edited it, and nobody was sure they had the latest version.

One plan, on every screen

The goal: a tool the whole organising team shares, each person on their own computer or phone, with their own account. Organisers edit, family and friends view. The plan checks capacities, keeps groups together and flags guests who must sit apart.

The venue to scale: round tables, top table, dance floor and terrace, with covers per table (French interface)

Sheets ready for every supplier

Once the plan is set, everything goes to the suppliers without copying a thing: for the caterer, a black-and-white floor plan with each table’s dietary needs, then the menu, the day-of schedule, the stock sheet and printable table cards.

The document workshop: the top table card, with guest names, ready to print (French interface)

On the day

On the wedding day, every guest found their seat, the caterer served each table without a mistake and the table cards came straight out of the tool.

What was delivered

  • Guest seating with capacity checks, groups, and keep-apart links between guests
  • Guest replies through a customisable form, guest list import and event export
  • Menu, day-of schedule, furniture laid out on the plan, drinks stock, photos and printable documents
  • 3D view of the venue
  • Multiple accounts: up to three events per account, invite co-organisers or read-only guests
  • Password, Google or Facebook sign-in, rate-limited attempts, recovery code

Outcome

In production since August 2026, open to the public since October. With every new feature, an AI agent walks through it like a real guest, on desktop and on phone.
